The 60G is also available with helical gears which are quiet like OEM transmissions. That means straight cut and noisy as hell. It would also be pretty simple to program in some basic go/no go logic to prevent downshifts at too high an engine speed. As the lever only moves fore-aft (not an H pattern), it's impossible to miss shifts. The ECU can be reprogrammed to allow flat upshifts and auto blipped down shifts. With the less than robust OEM box in the ND, and it's DBW (Drive By Wire), it occurred to me that the ND would be an ideal candidate. There is at least one ND ECU tuner already working on some advanced tuning in that area. If it comes to pass, my guess is a kit for the ND would like be closer to 10k, with another few hundred in ECU reprogramming. Enough for all but the most insane builds. The 60G is rated for 375bhp, which would equate to around 345whp in an ND. The QBE60G kit for the NA/NB is about $9200 with the current exchange rate. Normal heel toe blip downshift, minus the H pattern mis-shifts :) Our install can be flat shifted, clutchless upshifted but not auto blip clutchless down shifted. This is a complete new transmission with Quaife supplied bell housing, extension housing, configured to drop into a 90-05 Miata. It's an NA trackbeast with our Big Grip Kit, OS Giken diff, 170whp race engine and whatnot. We recently installed the Quaife QBE60G sequential transmission kit in one Taxi.
